**Hyderabad, November 16, 2024** – The eighth annual Hyderabad Comic Con, held at the HITEX Exhibition Center from November 15th to 17th, proved a massive success, attracting thousands of fans dressed as their favorite characters. The three-day event featured a vibrant mix of comic book launches, exclusive experience zones, cosplay competitions, stand-up comedy, and esports tournaments.

Attendees ranged from young children to adult cosplayers, with a surprising number of older participants. One attendee, Pavan Kumar Reddy, a 42-year-old corporate lawyer, even showcased his elaborate Predator costume, highlighting the widespread enthusiasm for cosplay among professionals. Other cosplayers, including a model from Bengaluru portraying Misty from Pokémon, and Aravind, known as “cosdemon,” showcased their meticulously crafted costumes and characters. Many attendees, like Surjit, a Spiderman cosplayer, emphasized the event’s ability to foster community and friendship.

The event also showcased new comic book releases from Holy Cow Entertainment, Bullseye Press, and Savio Mascarenhas, along with the launch of “The Adventures of Kikiboo.” Major sponsors, including Yamaha and Maruti Suzuki, created interactive experience zones, while Dreamhack provided an Ultimate Gaming Experience.

Beyond cosplay, the Comic Con offered stand-up comedy from Azeem Banatwalla and The Internet Said So (TISS), who praised Hyderabad’s audience for its sharp wit and appreciation of diverse humor. A special session featuring Amar Chitra Katha and Crunchyroll explored Indian storytelling and anime culture. Meanwhile, the adjacent hall hosted intense esports competitions, including the Snapdragon Pro Series, Pan Fest, and KO Fight Night.
