Sat Nov 16 04:19:56 UTC 2024: ## Dehradun Innova Crash: Father Appeals for End to Rumor-Mongering as Police Debunk Racing Claims

**Dehradun, India** – The father of the sole survivor of a tragic Innova accident that killed six students in Dehradun is pleading with the public to stop spreading false narratives surrounding the incident. Six young adults died early Tuesday morning when their vehicle crashed into a truck at ONGC Chowk.

Several unsubstantiated rumors have circulated online, prompting Siddhesh Agarwal’s father to issue a public appeal for compassion and an end to the speculation. One widely shared claim alleged that the Innova was engaged in a race with a BMW, leading to the fatal crash. However, Dehradun police have explicitly denied this, stating there is no evidence to support the allegation. CCTV footage shows the Innova driving within speed limits until shortly before the collision.

Other false claims include the victims having their heads out of the sunroof at the time of the accident and parents bringing children to the crash site as a cautionary tale. These claims, according to local journalists, are unfounded.

A viral video purportedly showing the victims drinking alcohol prior to the accident is also unverified. While police haven’t confirmed the cause of the accident, they haven’t released any statements regarding alcohol consumption by the occupants. The investigation is ongoing.

The deceased were identified as Kunal Kukreja (23), Atul Agrawal (24), Rishabh Jain (24), Navya Goel (23), Kamakshi (20), and Guneet (19). Siddhesh Agarwal is the sole survivor and is seriously injured. The truck driver is not being considered at fault at this time.
