**Hyderabad, November 16, 2024** – Hundreds of investors across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu have fallen victim to a fraudulent franchise scheme dubbed the “Donkey Milk Scam,” resulting in significant financial losses. Victims claim they were lured by promises of high returns from the sale of donkey milk by a company known as Donkey Palace.

Sai Babu, an investor from Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, detailed his experience, stating he and three others invested ₹56 lakh with U. Babu, the proprietor from Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu. While initial returns were paid, the payments ceased after three to four months. Babu allegedly exploited farmer networks to spread the fraudulent scheme.

Other victims shared similar stories of deception. Facing substantial financial losses and emotional distress, victims have appealed to various political figures for intervention, including Telugu Desam Party general secretary Nara Lokesh, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, and Bharat Rashtra Samithi MLA K.T. Rama Rao. One victim, Ramadevi, highlighted the devastating impact on her family, hindering her daughter’s critical medical treatment.

Despite contacting the Central Crime Station, victims were reportedly advised to file individual complaints at their local police stations. The incident underscores the vulnerability of investors to such schemes and the need for stronger regulatory measures to protect them.
