HYDERABAD, Andhra Pradesh – Nara Ramamurthy Naidu, younger brother of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, passed away at a private hospital in Hyderabad on Saturday. He was 72.
Naidu had been hospitalized since November 14th following a cardiac arrest. Hospital officials reported that he was suffering from non-communicating normal pressure hydrocephalus (a buildup of fluid in the brain) and had received intermittent ventilatory support for respiratory distress. Despite receiving cardiopulmonary resuscitation and treatment for related complications, he succumbed at 12:45 PM.
A former MLA, Ramamurthy Naidu represented the Chandragiri assembly constituency from 1994 to 1999. His son, Nara Rohit, is a well-known Telugu film actor.
Telangana Chief Minister K. Revanth Reddy offered his condolences on the passing of Ramamurthy Naidu.
