**Ahmedabad, November 15, 2024:** A moderate earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale struck Gujarat, India, late tonight, causing widespread panic but no reported casualties or significant damage.

The National Center for Seismology (NCS) reported the epicenter in Mehsana district, approximately 10 kilometers below the surface. The tremors were felt strongly in Mehsana and surrounding areas, prompting residents to rush outdoors. Residents in Ahmedabad, including areas like Vadaj, Ankura, and New Vadaj, also reported feeling the quake.

Reports suggest that the tremors were felt in parts of neighboring Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh as well, particularly in Sirohi district of Rajasthan near the Gujarat border.
