Sat Nov 16 15:30:25 UTC 2024: ## Sabarimala Pilgrims Get Enhanced Ayyan App for Smoother Journey
**Pampa, Kerala – November 16, 2024** – The Kerala Forest Department, in collaboration with the Periyar Tiger Reserve, launched Ayyan 2.0, an upgraded mobile application designed to assist Sabarimala pilgrims. The app, available in six languages (English, Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada) on Android and iOS platforms, builds upon the success of its predecessor, launched during the 2023 pilgrimage season.
Ayyan 2.0 offers several key improvements. A new “Facilitation Card” feature allows pilgrims to pre-plan their journey by selecting their preferred route, arrival date, and Edathavalam (transit point), streamlining the pilgrimage experience. The app also provides real-time route maps, event timings, and crowd status updates through its “Route Guidance and Timing” feature, enabling devotees to choose the optimal route and time based on current conditions. Furthermore, pilgrims can now book their Edathavalam slots in advance, ensuring the Forest Department can provide necessary facilities.
Forest Minister A.K. Saseendran officially launched Ayyan 2.0 at Pampa. Azhutha range officer Jyothish J. Ozhakkal highlighted the app’s aim to enhance comfort and peace of mind for devotees throughout their pilgrimage.
