Sat Nov 16 12:14:46 UTC 2024: ## Australia Clinches T20I Series Win Over Pakistan

**Sydney, Australia** – Australia secured a commanding 2-0 series victory over Pakistan in the second T20I at the Sydney Cricket Ground, defeating their opponents by 13 runs. A stunning bowling performance, spearheaded by Spencer Johnson’s five-wicket haul (5/26), saw Pakistan bowled out for a paltry 134 in response to Australia’s 147.

Johnson’s breathtaking spell dismantled the Pakistani top order, claiming five of the first six wickets. While Usman Khan offered some resistance with a 52-run knock, no other Pakistani batter managed to significantly contribute. Haris Rauf was the standout bowler for Pakistan, taking 4/22.

Australia’s innings, while not reaching the heights expected, saw Matthew Short top-score with 32 runs. The Australian batting faltered, however, after a strong start.

Australian captain Josh Inglis praised his team’s opening performance and expressed his enthusiasm for continued growth in his captaincy role. Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan acknowledged the dropped catches as a critical factor in their defeat and highlighted the challenging batting conditions.

Johnson, named Player of the Match, attributed his success to the team’s effective utilization of the conditions and strong communication between the bowlers. Adam Zampa also contributed to the impressive bowling effort.

The final T20I will be played in Hobart on Monday, November 18th. Pakistan will aim to salvage some pride in the final match of the series.
