**Vijayawada, November 16, 2024** – The Andhra Pradesh government has allocated ₹156.60 crore to complete outstanding works on the Handri Neeva Sujala Sravanthi (HNSS) main canal, specifically focusing on the Pileru Mandipalle Nagireddy Srinivasapuram and Adavipalle Reservoirs. This announcement was made by State Transport Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy following a meeting with Water Resources Minister Nimmala Rama Naidu in Vijayawada on Saturday.

The funds are intended to benefit farmers and residents in Annamayya district, particularly addressing irrigation challenges in the Rayachoti Assembly constituency. Minister Reddy’s memorandum also requested improvements to water bodies across six mandals (Rayachoti, Sambepally, Galiveedu, Lakkireddypalle, Ramapuram, and Chinnamandem) and solutions to drinking water supply issues. He stressed the importance of completing the HNSS works to enhance water supply to the Adavipalle Reservoir and increase overall water reserves in the region.
