Fri Nov 15 10:53:43 UTC 2024: ## UPPSC Aspirants Continue Protest Despite Government Concessions
**Prayagraj:** Despite the Uttar Pradesh government’s announcement to postpone the Review Officer (RO) and Assistant Review Officer (ARO) examinations and revert the Provincial Civil Services (PCS) preliminary exam to the old pattern, UPPSC aspirants continue their protest at the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) office in Prayagraj.
The students are demanding that the RO/ARO exam be conducted in a single shift. While the government has agreed to a single day, single shift exam for PCS, they have formed a committee to review the format for RO/ARO.
The protesting students remain unconvinced and have stated they will not end their demonstration until there is a clear decision on the RO/ARO exam format, including a guarantee that it will be conducted in a single shift.
Meanwhile, the police have requested the students to continue their protest while allowing the traffic to flow freely to avoid inconvenience for the public.
Thousands of students are still gathered outside the UPPSC office, expressing their dissatisfaction with the ambiguity surrounding the RO/ARO examination format. They are demanding a clear and immediate decision from the government regarding the committee’s mandate and the final decision on the single-shift exam.
