**Dehradun, India** – A joyride after a party turned tragic for six young adults in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, after their car collided with a truck at high speed, killing all but one of the occupants. The crash occurred on November 12 at the ONGC Chowk in the city.
The group, who were reportedly celebrating a friend’s new car, were traveling in a Toyota Innova without a number plate when they collided with the truck at an estimated speed of 100 km/hour. The impact was so severe that the car’s roof tore off, leaving it in a mangled wreck.
Disturbing videos of the aftermath, which have surfaced online, show the horrific extent of the damage and the tragic loss of life. One video depicts the decapitation of a victim, with another showing a body contorted inside the crushed vehicle.
The victims were identified as Kunal Kukreja (23), Atul Agrawal (24), Rishabh Jain (24), Navya Goel (23), Kamakshi (20), and Guneet (19). All except Kukreja, who hailed from Himachal Pradesh, were residents of Dehradun. The sole survivor, Siddhesh Agrawal (25), was reportedly hosting the party that preceded the fatal crash.
Police have yet to determine the exact location of the party or the group’s destination. They are also investigating whether the driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
