Fri Nov 15 11:13:28 UTC 2024: ## PM Modi Stranded in Deoghar After Aircraft Malfunction, Opposition Leader Also Affected
**Deoghar, Jharkhand (November 15, 2024):** Prime Minister Narendra Modi was stranded at the Deoghar airport in Jharkhand for over an hour on Friday after his special aircraft encountered a technical snag. The incident disrupted air traffic in the region, impacting the travel plans of other prominent figures, including opposition leader Rahul Gandhi.
PM Modi was scheduled to return to New Delhi after addressing a rally in Jamui, Bihar, where he attended a function marking the 150th birth anniversary of Birsa Munda. The aircraft malfunction led to the declaration of a ‘no flying zone’ in the region’s airspace.
As a result, Rahul Gandhi, who addressed an election rally in Godda, Jharkhand, was also stuck, unable to take off due to the airspace restrictions. The Congress party accused the administration of targeting Gandhi unfairly, alleging a security lapse at the behest of the central government.
Officials are currently discussing alternative arrangements for PM Modi’s return to Delhi. The incident has sparked concerns about the security and logistical challenges faced by high-profile individuals during their travel.
