**Hyderabad, India -** Trishna Ray, a 19-year-old fashion technology student from Bhubaneswar, Odisha, has made India proud by being crowned Miss Teen Universe 2024. The prestigious pageant, held in Kimberley, South Africa, saw ten finalists from various countries compete, with Ray emerging victorious.
The young woman’s journey to the crown was not without its challenges. She encountered visa complications that prevented her from competing in Colombia and the Dominican Republic, but her perseverance ultimately paid off.
“Trishna Ray’s victory is a testament to her hard work, dedication, and resilience,” said Dr. Achyuta Samanta, founder of KIIT University, where Ray is a student.
Ray’s accomplishment was also celebrated by Odisha’s former Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik, who congratulated her on social media, expressing pride in her achievement and wishing her well for the future.
Ray first gained recognition after winning the Miss Teen Universe India title on April 13, 2023. KIIT University, recognizing the challenges she overcame, has highlighted her achievement as a source of pride for both Odisha and India.
