**Mumbai, India -** Reality star Maheep Kapoor, known for her role in the Netflix series “Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives,” has revealed a surprising and unconventional story about her marriage proposal to actor Sanjay Kapoor.
In a recent interview, Maheep shared that their love story began with a chance encounter at a party in the 90s, where she was “dead drunk.” The meeting included the entire Kapoor family, including Anil Kapoor, Sunita Kapoor, and the late Sridevi, who all welcomed her with open arms, despite her inebriated state.
Maheep recalls a “simple” proposal where Sanjay, after a night of partying, told her, “Look, we are getting married.” The proposal, she explains, happened in a nightclub, fueled by tequila shots, and without the typical grand gestures common today. “We didn’t have Instagram,” she said, “So, we didn’t give a sh*t.”
The couple, who married in 1997, have two children together – daughter Shanaya Kapoor and son Jahaan Kapoor.
Maheep’s candidness has made her a popular figure on the show, which follows the lives of a group of Bollywood wives. The third season of “Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives” premiered on Netflix on October 18th and introduced three new cast members: Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Shalini Passi, and Kalyani Saha Chawla.
Sanjay Kapoor has focused on his work in the OTT space, with his most recent appearance in the streaming movie “Murder Mubarak.”
