Fri Nov 15 23:26:16 IST 2024: ## Gujarat Shaken by 4.2 Magnitude Earthquake; No Major Damage Reported

**Gandhinagar, Gujarat – November 16, 2024** – A magnitude 4.2 earthquake struck parts of Gujarat late Friday night, November 15th, at approximately 10:15 PM, causing tremors felt as far as Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. The epicenter, according to the Gandhinagar Institute of Seismological Research, was located 13 kilometers southwest of Patan in Banaskantha district.

While buildings shook and residents experienced a period of alarm, thankfully, there have been no reports of significant damage or injuries. This follows an earlier earthquake on October 27th, which registered a 3.7 magnitude and caused panic in villages near Savar Kundla in Amreli district.

Authorities continue to monitor the situation. The Institute has confirmed the coordinates of Friday’s quake as latitude 21.247 and longitude 71.105.
