Dehradun, Uttarakhand – A horrific road accident in Dehradun on November 12th claimed the lives of six young students and critically injured another, leaving the community in shock. While police are investigating the cause of the crash, a video circulating widely on social media suggests the group may have been consuming alcohol before the accident.

The video, which appears to be from a party, shows the group of friends drinking what appear to be alcoholic beverages. However, police have not confirmed whether the students were intoxicated at the time of the accident.

The collision, which occurred at the ONGC Chowk at approximately 1:30 pm on November 12th, involved a car and a truck. The impact was so severe that the car was reduced to a mangled wreck, and several of the students were killed instantly. The accident left some victims with severed heads and body parts scattered on the road.

The truck driver fled the scene, abandoning the vehicle.

According to Circle Officer (City) Neeraj Semwal, the car collided with the truck from behind, resulting in the death of six students on the spot.

The victims were identified as Kunal Kukreja (23), Atul Agrawal (24), Rishabh Jain (24), Navya Goel (23), Kamakshi (20), and Guneet (19). All were from Dehradun, except Kukreja, who hailed from Himachal Pradesh.

The seventh occupant, Siddhesh Agrawal (25), was admitted to Synergy Hospital in critical condition.

Police are currently examining CCTV footage from the area to determine the cause of the accident. The details of the students’ institution and their whereabouts before the accident remain unclear.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed his condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the departed souls.
