**Chennai, India** – Resul Pookutty, the Oscar-winning sound engineer, has expressed his disappointment with the sound design of the recently released Tamil film “Kanguva,” starring Surya. The film, which has garnered negative reviews from critics and audiences alike, has come under fire for its poor sound mixing and excessive background noise.

Pookutty, known for his work on the Oscar-winning film “Slumdog Millionaire,” took to social media to voice his concern. He shared a post highlighting the criticism surrounding the film’s sound design and questioned the quality of the work.

“A friend, a re-recording mixer, sent me this. It’s heartbreaking to see such criticism around sound in popular films like this. Whose fault is it that our craftsmanship gets stuck in such work?” he wrote, expressing his disappointment.

He further added, “If people are returning home with headaches after watching the movie, how can they be expected to want to see it again?”

“Kanguva,” directed by Siruthai Siva, was highly anticipated by fans but has received a lukewarm reception since its release on November 14th. The film, made on a budget of approximately 300 crore rupees, has been criticized for its lackluster storyline and excessive noise levels, with many complaining that the background music and dialogue make it difficult to enjoy the film.
