Fri Nov 15 15:50:55 UTC 2024: ## Haryana Pacer Anshul Kamboj Takes All 10 Wickets in Ranji Trophy Inning

**Lahli, Haryana:** Haryana pacer Anshul Kamboj etched his name in the annals of Ranji Trophy history today, claiming all 10 wickets in an innings against Kerala in the ongoing 5th round match. This remarkable feat was achieved in the first innings of the match, played at Lahli.

Kamboj, who needed two wickets to complete the historic feat on the third day of the match, dismissed Kerala’s Shaun Roger to claim his 10th scalp. He finished with figures of 10/49 in 30.1 overs, including 9 maidens, delivering a spectacular bowling performance.

This is the best bowling performance by a Haryana bowler in the Ranji Trophy history, surpassing the previous record of 8/24 achieved by former cricketer Joginder Sharma against Vidarbha in 2004-05.

Kamboj becomes only the third bowler in Ranji Trophy history to achieve the feat of taking all 10 wickets in an innings. He joins the elite list alongside Bengal’s Premangshu Chatterjee (1956-57) and Rajasthan’s Pradeep Sundaram (1985-86). He also becomes the sixth Indian bowler overall to achieve this remarkable feat, following in the footsteps of Subhash Gupte, Anil Kumble, and Odisha pacer Debasis Mohanty.

Hailing from Karnal, a region more renowned for boxing than cricket, Kamboj chose the cricket field over the boxing ring at the age of 14. He has been a consistent performer for Haryana across various levels, even gracing the Indian Premier League (IPL) with Mumbai Indians, where he took 2 wickets in 3 matches. His remarkable bowling has also helped Haryana win the Vijay Hazare trophy, where he took a tournament-best 17 wickets.

This exceptional performance by Kamboj has certainly cemented his place in Ranji Trophy history and is sure to inspire young cricketers across the nation.
