Tue Nov 12 17:33:29 UTC 2024: ## Vistara Airlines to Merge with Air India, Ending Its Independent Operations
**Hyderabad, November 11:** After a decade of providing domestic and international air travel services, Vistara Airlines is set to cease independent operations as it merges with the Tata Group’s Air India. The merger will take effect from Tuesday, November 12.
Vistara’s final flights will operate on Monday, November 11, with a domestic service from Mumbai to Delhi and an international route from Delhi to Singapore. The airline’s first flight, launched on January 9, 2015, was also from Delhi to Mumbai, making this final flight symbolic of its journey.
The last flight, UK 986, will depart Mumbai at 10:50 PM and arrive in Delhi at 11:50 PM. The international flight to Singapore will take off at 11:45 PM from Delhi.
Vistara was a joint venture between the Tata Group and Singapore Airlines. This merger marks the second airline absorbed into Air India in the past two months, following the integration of Air India Express last month.
