**Mountain View, CA** – Google is preparing to enhance its popular Call Screen feature with AI-powered “Smart Replies” for Pixel phones, according to recent APK Insights. This new feature, codenamed “dobby_AI,” will utilize large language models (LLMs) to provide contextually relevant responses to incoming calls.

The current Call Screen feature, which allows users to automatically screen calls and provide pre-defined replies, will be further advanced by AI Replies. The system will analyze the caller’s response and suggest relevant replies based on the conversation, potentially offering more personalized and accurate answers.

These AI-powered replies will be powered by Gemini Nano, Google’s lightweight version of its Gemini AI model, providing a seamless experience on Pixel devices. Users will have the option to enable AI replies, granting them access to this advanced feature.
