Wed Nov 13 02:30:00 UTC 2024: ## Former MLA Patnam Narender Reddy Arrested in Lagacherla Attack Case
**Hyderabad:** Police have arrested Patnam Narender Reddy, a former MLA from Kodangal and a leader of the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), in connection with the Lagacherla attack incident.
The arrest was confirmed by police officials, who revealed that Narender Reddy was initially taken into custody from his residence in Film Nagar and subsequently transported to the DTC center in Vikarabad for interrogation.
Police allege that Narender Reddy was involved in the attack on officials in Lagacherla, Vikarabad district. The arrest comes following investigations that linked him to Suresh, a key accused in the case, who is currently on the run.
Four police teams have been dispatched to apprehend Suresh. Meanwhile, police are scrutinizing phone call data from the time of the incident, utilizing cell tower location information to further their investigation.
Sources indicate that crucial information has been gathered about the involvement of other key individuals in the attack.
Following Narender Reddy’s arrest, former minister Sabitha Indra Reddy visited his family at their Film Nagar residence to offer support.
Police have already remanded 16 individuals in connection with the Lagacherla attack, and on Wednesday, four more suspects, including Suresh’s brother, were arrested. These individuals are undergoing medical examinations at a hospital in Parigi before being presented in court.
