Wed Nov 13 00:50:00 UTC 2024: ## Bruins Look to Bounce Back as Geekie Returns, Frederic Returns Home in St. Louis

**ST. LOUIS, MO -** The Boston Bruins are looking to rebound from a recent slump as they kick off a two-game road trip against the St. Louis Blues at Enterprise Center on Tuesday night.

One key change for the Bruins is the return of forward Morgan Geekie, who will be playing alongside Pavel Zacha and David Pastrnak after sitting out the last three games as a healthy scratch.

“I just think, most importantly, [Zacha and Pastrnak] had a lot of success in the past, especially last year in the playoffs and in the regular season,” said Bruins coach Jim Montgomery. “We’re hoping it’s gonna help the team and help him.”

Geekie, who has struggled mentally as much as physically this season, acknowledged the challenges he’s faced. “Mentally, for sure,” he said. “Everyone goes through it, it’s just a matter of how bad it’s gonna be. It’s just trying to not get too low.”

Meanwhile, Bruins forward Trent Frederic is also looking forward to playing in his hometown, returning to the city where his hockey roots run deep.

“It’s great. I got to go have dinner at my parents’ house last night,” said Frederic, reflecting on the famous basement rink where he and future NHL stars like Matthew and Brady Tkachuk honed their skills.

Frederic also shared that the basement has since been renovated, with a sauna and workout room taking up some of the space.

The Bruins are looking to find their rhythm on the road and will be aiming for a win against the Blues as they head into a crucial part of their season.
