**Ahmedabad, India** – British rock band Coldplay will be adding a fourth show to their India tour, performing at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on January 25, 2025. Tickets for the concert will go on sale on BookMyShow on November 16 at 12 PM IST.
The band’s decision to add an Ahmedabad show comes after their three Mumbai concerts scheduled for January 18, 19, and 20, 2025 sold out within minutes. The overwhelming demand led to millions of fans being left disappointed, with many blaming ticket scalpers for driving up prices.
The Maharashtra Police’s cyber wing has urged BookMyShow to implement stricter ticketing protocols, including name-based tickets, to prevent unauthorized resales and scalping.
Resellers have been capitalizing on the high demand, listing tickets on platforms like Viagogo for exorbitant prices, with some reaching as high as Rs 3.65 lakh. This has sparked outrage among fans, many of whom believe genuine concert-goers have been priced out by scalpers.
Fans can expect ticket prices for the Ahmedabad concert to be similar to those of the Mumbai shows, which ranged from ₹2,500 to ₹35,000.
The additional Ahmedabad date gives more fans a chance to experience Coldplay’s electrifying live performance, and with the implementation of stricter ticketing measures, fans are hopeful of a fairer chance to secure tickets for the highly anticipated concerts.
