**Buenos Aires, Argentina:** The Indian Seniors Bridge team has brought home a silver medal from the 16th World Bridge Olympiad. The team fell short of the gold medal after a close final against the USA, finishing with a score of 165-258.

The two-day competition was a tense match with both teams neck-and-neck for the first two rounds. However, the American team surged ahead in the third round, securing the gold.

The Indian team was led by Kamal Mukherjee, Vibhas Todi, Badal Das, Pranab Bardhan, Arun Bapat, and Ravi Goenka, with Girish Bijur serving as the non-playing captain.

Bridge, often referred to as a “card game”, has a long history and is a globally recognized sport with a dedicated governing body that organizes international tournaments and promotes the game worldwide.
