Actor Vikrant Massey, known for his roles in films like “12th Fail,” recently revealed his deep respect for director Vidhu Vinod Chopra (VVC), considering him a father figure in the industry. While acknowledging VVC’s notoriously “difficult” personality, Massey praised his honesty and pure nature, aspiring to emulate him when he reaches the age of 72.
In a conversation with Faye D’Souza, Massey described VVC as a “pre” person who doesn’t shy away from speaking his mind, even if it comes across as blunt. He attributed VVC’s directness to his genuine nature, unchanged despite years of success in the film industry.
Massey admires VVC’s “phenomenal worldview” and hopes to retain a similar passion and childlike enthusiasm for storytelling even after years in the business. He also acknowledged that VVC’s honesty might come across as rude to some, but he believes it stems from his genuine approach, treating everyone with the same straightforwardness, be it family or strangers.
