Tue Nov 12 16:17:39 UTC 2024: ## Vikrant Massey Opens Up About His Family’s Financial Struggles and the Lasting Impact on His Life
**Mumbai, India:** Actor Vikrant Massey, known for his versatile performances, recently shared a poignant glimpse into his family’s past struggles, revealing how the experience continues to influence him even today. In an interview with journalist Faye D’Souza, the actor, whose career took off with last year’s hit “12th Fail,” candidly discussed the challenges of navigating the film industry as an outsider.
Massey disclosed that his early years were marked by significant financial hardship, forcing his family to endure a period of living in godowns. He emphasized that while the financial struggles may have passed, the emotional impact remains deeply ingrained. “It’s part of your conditioning,” he explained, “It becomes a kind of paranoia or insecurity. It becomes ingrained in you.”
The actor attributed this mindset to the experiences of his parents, who faced similar hardships. His father, having worked at the same company for years, retired early after his brother and Vikrant started working. His mother, meanwhile, contributed financially by running a dabba service, waking up at 3 AM to prepare meals for 20 people before attending to her children’s needs.
Despite his current success and financial security, Massey acknowledges that the past continues to influence his outlook on life. “Even though my future is brighter than my present,” he stated, “in the back of my mind, I always feel that life is transient—nothing is permanent. It’s a mindset that comes from what my parents went through.”
Vikrant Massey is currently preparing for the release of “The Sabarmati Report,” starring Raashii Khanna and Riddhi Dogra. The actor’s candid revelation sheds light on the often-overlooked realities of navigating the film industry and the enduring impact of personal experiences.
