**Tiruchirappalli, November 12, 2024:** The Sri Kamalavalli Nachiyar Temple in Woraiyur witnessed a grand celebration of the Unjal Thirunal festival today.

The festivities began at 6 pm with the procession of the presiding deity, Sri Thayar, from the sanctum sanctorum to the Unjal mandapam, where she arrived at 6.15 pm. The highlight of the event was the Unjal ceremony, which took place at 7.15 pm.

The deity was then taken on a processional tour of the temple premises, departing at 8.30 pm and returning to the sanctum sanctorum at 8.45 pm.

Meanwhile, the Tamil Sangam on West Boulevard Road hosted a lecture by S. Manikandan on Sankaradas Swamigal at 6.30 pm.
