Mon Nov 11 17:14:10 UTC 2024: ## Former Prisoner Arrested for Bludgeoning Two Colleagues to Death in Bengaluru
**Bengaluru, November 11, 2024:** A 35-year-old man, Suresh Shashi, was arrested on Monday for the brutal murder of two of his colleagues at a private bus service center in Bagalur. Shashi, a resident of Uttarahalli, had been on the run since the incident on Saturday night.
Police investigations revealed that Shashi, a former prisoner who was released earlier this year after a Kannada film star helped him secure bail, had been subjected to constant harassment from the victims, Nagesh and Manjunath Gowda, regarding his criminal past.
The incident occurred after a drunken brawl at the bus service center. Shashi, enraged by the taunts, allegedly bludgeoned the victims to death with an iron rod. He then locked the room and fled the scene.
The gruesome discovery was made the following day by other staff members who arrived for work. Police were immediately alerted, and Shashi was apprehended within 48 hours as he was attempting to leave the city.
Shashi was previously imprisoned in 2012 for attempted murder, kidnapping, and rape. He had been released earlier this year after a Kannada film star intervened and provided financial assistance for his bail.
Police have registered a case of murder against Shashi and are conducting further investigations.
