A recent poll by The Athletic found that most players prefer not to wear the caps, citing concerns over weight, heat, and aesthetics. One player even stated, “Concussions are going to happen. That’s part of the game.”
However, some players are embracing the extra protection. Indianapolis Colts tight end Kylen Granson stated, “Why wouldn’t I (wear it)? Just because it looks silly? I feel like health and safety is more important than aesthetics.”
