**New Delhi:** The auspicious occasion of Dev Uthani Ekadashi, also known as Prabodhini or Devotthan Ekadashi, will be celebrated on November 12th, 2024, marking the beginning of the wedding season.

According to Hindu belief, Lord Vishnu awakens from his four-month slumber on this day, signifying the start of a favorable period for new beginnings. This auspiciousness extends to weddings, with an estimated 48,000 weddings expected to take place across Delhi-NCR on this day.

Astrologer Ajai Bhambi has declared Dev Uthani Ekadashi as “abhuj,” meaning the day is so auspicious that no astrological consultation is required for marriages. Couples can tie the knot at any time on this day without needing additional rituals. Even those considered “manglik” can get married, as per Pandit Ram Hari Sharma.

Devotees observe a fast on Dev Uthani Ekadashi, worshipping Lord Vishnu. The fast will be broken between 6:42 AM and 8:51 AM on November 13th.
