**Shiggaon, November 12, 2024:** Union Minister Pralhad Joshi has demanded the resignation of Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, accusing him of being “embroiled in controversies” and lacking the moral right to call for Prime Minister Modi’s resignation.
Joshi’s statement comes in response to Siddaramaiah’s challenge to Modi to prove corruption charges in Karnataka or resign. The Minister, pointing to the ongoing “MUDA scandal”, claimed that Siddaramaiah is “the prime accused” and lacks the authority to demand accountability from others.
Joshi further alleged that Siddaramaiah is “surrounded by a web of scandals”, citing instances of land allotments to close associates and transfers of officials. He highlighted a specific incident where a Tahsildar paid stamp duty on behalf of the CM, suggesting direct involvement in corrupt practices.
“What more evidence is needed to prove his involvement? He should quit immediately,” Joshi asserted. He concluded by questioning whether the series of alleged irregularities could have occurred without Siddaramaiah’s influence.
