Tue Nov 12 02:30:31 UTC 2024: ## Assembly Speaker Warns YSRCP Leader Jagan Mohan Reddy: “Law Will Take Its Own Course”
**Amaravati, November 12, 2024:** Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker Ch. Ayyanna Patrudu has issued a stern warning to former Chief Minister and YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, stating that if he continues to skip Assembly sessions, “the law will take its own course.”
The warning came during a Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting on Monday, where the schedule for the ongoing Budget session was finalized until November 22. The Speaker emphasized the importance of serious and engaging Assembly sessions, advocating for thorough discussions and training sessions for MLAs on the Budget and other proceedings.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu echoed the importance of attendance, asserting that “Assembly sessions will not pause for anyone. It’s the duty of every member to engage responsibly on public issues.”
TDP leaders, recalling previous extended sessions, urged all MLAs to attend the sessions. BJP leader P. Vishnu Kumar Raju advocated for a minimum of 15 days for the sessions and also called for an inspection tour to the ‘Rushikonda palace’ in Visakhapatnam, which was built by the previous government using public funds.
The speaker’s warning and the Chief Minister’s emphasis on responsible participation highlight the growing pressure on Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to attend Assembly sessions. This development will be closely watched as the ongoing Budget session progresses.
