**NOIDA, INDIA** – A family of five, including a father, mother, two siblings, and a young man, died in a tragic car accident on Sunday morning while seeking medical help for their ailing two-year-old child. The family, who were all labourers, resided in Kashiram Colony, Dadri and had been visiting various hospitals in Noida and Greater Noida in a desperate search for treatment.
The accident occurred around 6 am on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway near Sector 146 Metro Station. Their vehicle collided with a broken-down vehicle parked on the roadside. The driver, Aman (27), died instantly, while four others – Devi Singh (60), Rajkumari (50), Vimlesh (40), and Kamlesh (40) – sustained serious injuries and were pronounced dead at a local hospital.
The family had been turned away by doctors at several hospitals, who deemed the child’s condition too critical. While the child, Devesh, was receiving treatment at Child PGI in Sector 30, the five adults had headed towards Delhi to explore other hospital options.
Following the accident, the child was taken home by family members. The five deceased family members were cremated together on Monday in Noida, with relatives and acquaintances paying their respects.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his condolences and instructed top officials to provide assistance to the bereaved family. Dadri MLA Tejpal Nagar also visited the family and offered his condolences.
The police have registered a case based on a complaint filed by a relative of the deceased.
