Tue Nov 12 15:40:00 UTC 2024: ## Yellowstone Prequel “1923” Renewed for Season Two, Release Delayed by Strikes
Fans of the hit Paramount+ series “1923,” the prequel to the popular “Yellowstone,” will be happy to hear that the show has been renewed for a second season. However, production delays caused by the ongoing Hollywood strikes mean that viewers will have to wait a bit longer to see the Dutton family’s origin story continue.
While a specific release date has not been announced, showrunner Taylor Sheridan confirmed that season two will consist of another eight episodes and will pick up where the first season left off. Sheridan hinted that the second season will focus on “the second half” of the story and that he had to deviate from his original plan, requiring a two-part season to do the story justice.
Despite the delays, fans can look forward to the return of key cast members, and the introduction of two new recurring characters: Mamie Fossett, a confident U.S. Deputy Marshall played by Jennifer Carpenter, and Hillary, a thoughtful woman who fights against injustice, played by Janet Montgomery.
While the exact plot details remain under wraps, season two of “1923” is expected to arrive sometime in late 2025 or early 2026.
