**New Delhi**: According to reports, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is planning to field two ‘C’ teams against West Indies in a three-match ODI series and five-match T20I series scheduled for September 2026.
Rian Parag is expected to lead the ODI team while the exciting young batsman Rinku Singh is tipped to captain the T20 side.
The ODI series will see Rian Parag, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Prabhsimran Singh, Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya, Ramandeep Singh, Nitish Reddy, Washington Sundar, Shreyas Iyer, Axar Patel, Ravi Bishnoi, Arshdeep Singh, Avesh Khan, Mayank Yadav, and Abhishek Sharma in the squad.
Meanwhile, the T20I series will be led by Rinku Singh, who recently captained the UP T20 League team. The squad is expected to include Prabhsimran Singh, Ramandeep Singh, Tilak Varma, Ayush Badoni, Deepak Hooda, Washington Sundar, Axar Patel, Shahbaz Ahmad, Harpreet Brar, Abhishek Porel, Arshdeep Singh, Kuldeep Sen, Umran Malik, and Ravi Bishnoi.
The upcoming tour will be a chance for the young players to prove their mettle on the international stage and stake their claim for a place in the main Indian team.
This news comes after Team India’s recent T20 series against South Africa. The team is scheduled to play a white-ball series against England in the future.
