**Pali:** The wedding season, starting on Monday with Dev Uthani Ekadashi, is set to be a grand affair in Pali district, with over 2,000 marriages expected. The festivities will span over 20 days in November and December.

According to Pandit Chaitanya Shrimali, the auspicious dates for marriages are November 12, 13, 14, 17, 18, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, and 27, and December 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, and 14. This surge in weddings is expected to boost the local economy, benefiting businesses in jewelry, automobiles, clothing, catering, confectionery, tents, decoration, and hotels.

Jeweler Rajesh Bohra reported that despite an increase in prices, demand for jewelry remains high. People are enthusiastic about the wedding festivities and associated purchases. Light-weight and aesthetically pleasing necklaces are popular choices for brides this season. Many families have even pre-booked their wedding arrangements. Tent vendor Lakshman Purohit confirmed that many people booked their tents two months in advance. The demand for decorative and VIP tents is especially high in the city.
