Sun Nov 10 06:26:46 UTC 2024: ## Trump Excludes Pompeo and Haley from New Administration

**WASHINGTON, D.C. – November 10, 2024** – President-elect Donald Trump has announced he will not be including former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley in his upcoming administration.

Trump, who defeated Vice President Kamala Harris in the November 5th election, made the announcement on his social media platform, Truth Social. “I will not be inviting former Ambassador Nikki Haley, or former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, to join the Trump Administration, which is currently in formation,” he stated.

Both Pompeo and Haley served in Trump’s first term, with Pompeo holding the positions of CIA Director and Secretary of State, while Haley was the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations. Both later entered the Republican presidential race, challenging Trump in the primaries. Although Pompeo dropped out early, Haley remained a contender until February of this year.

Despite their previous competition, both Pompeo and Haley ultimately endorsed Trump’s campaign for a second term. Haley announced her support for Trump during the Republican National Convention in Wisconsin this past July.

In his post, Trump expressed gratitude for both officials’ service, saying, “I very much enjoyed and appreciated working with them previously, and would like to thank them for their service to our Country. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
