**NELLORE, NOVEMBER 10, 2024:** Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy has pledged to transform Podalakur Road into a major thoroughfare, similar to the Grand Trunk Road, in a bid to improve road infrastructure in the city. Reddy, along with TDP leader Kotamreddy Giridhar Reddy, made this announcement after launching developmental works worth ₹1.50 crore at Batwadipalem centre, under the Nellore Municipal Corporation’s 36th division.

Reddy highlighted the need for a facelift on the neglected road and stated that median works will be completed within two months to alleviate traffic congestion. He also emphasized the Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan’s commitment to road infrastructure development.

Meanwhile, newly-appointed Chairman of Nellore Urban Development Authority (NUDA), Kotamreddy Srinivasulu Reddy, unveiled plans to develop the NTR Necklace Road, alongside the Ganesh Ghat, inspired by the iconic necklace road in Hyderabad. He revealed that the existing NTR Park, established with ₹2.5 crore, will undergo further beautification. Additionally, selfie spots featuring “I LOVE NELLORE” signboards are planned to attract young people to the area.
