**Ranchi, Jharkhand:** Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be campaigning extensively in Jharkhand on Sunday, November 10, 2024, in a bid to boost the BJP’s chances in the upcoming state assembly elections.
Modi will address two public rallies, one in Bokaro at 1 p.m. and another in Gumla at 3.15 p.m. He will then lead a mega roadshow in Ranchi, starting at 5.15 p.m. from OTC Ground and concluding at New Market Chowk.
The roadshow is expected to draw large crowds and has prompted the Ranchi traffic police to restrict entry of all goods vehicles in the state capital between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. The district administration has also declared a ‘no flying zone’ in the 200-meter radius of the stretch between Birsa Munda airport and Sahjanand Chowk, prohibiting drones, paragliding, and hot air balloons.
Modi will be campaigning for BJP candidates in both Bokaro and Gumla, aiming to secure votes for the party in these crucial constituencies.
The BJP has been holding rallies across Jharkhand in recent days, with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and BJP President JP Nadda addressing multiple events. The Congress party is also actively campaigning, with Rahul Gandhi having held several rallies over the past two days.
The 81-member Jharkhand assembly elections are scheduled for November 13 and November 20, with counting of votes set for November 23.
