**CHICAGO (Nov. 10, 2024)** – The United States Men’s National Team (USMNT) is gearing up for its first official competition under head coach Mauricio Pochettino. The team will face Jamaica in a two-leg home-and-away series for the Concacaf Nations League quarterfinals. The first leg is scheduled for Saturday, November 14th at the National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica, while the second leg will be played on Monday, November 18th at CITYPARK in St. Louis, Missouri.

The USMNT is aiming for its fourth consecutive Concacaf Nations League title, having won every edition of the tournament since its inception. The team will be looking to build upon its strong performance in the October international window, which saw them secure a 2-0 victory against Panama and a 2-0 loss to Mexico.

The Reggae Boyz, however, have proven to be a tough opponent for the U.S. in recent encounters. Jamaica nearly knocked the USMNT out of the 2023-24 Concacaf Nations League semifinals, only to be stopped by a late brace from Haji Wright. Both teams have also battled to draws in the group stage of the Concacaf Gold Cup and World Cup qualifying matches.

The USMNT boasts a roster filled with talent, including several players who have shone in the UEFA Champions League, notably Malik Tillman and Christian Pulisic. While the team has a slight historical advantage over Jamaica, recent matches have been close, with seven of the last ten encounters decided by a goal or less.

The USA will be looking to maintain their seven-game unbeaten streak against Jamaica, which began in June 2019.

St. Louis, a city with a strong soccer history and a recent influx of USMNT talent, is expected to provide a strong home advantage for the second leg of the series. The USMNT has a dominant record in St. Louis, having not lost a match in the city since 1957.

The Concacaf Nations League, a tournament designed to foster competition and development within the region, is being contested in a three-league format (A, B, and C), with 41 national teams vying for the title.

The quarterfinal series against Jamaica is the first step on the road to the 2025 Concacaf Nations League Finals, which will be held at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The winners of each quarterfinal matchup will advance to the finals.
