During a recent AXS TV special, Poison frontman Bret Michaels revealed his pick for the greatest rock band of all time: AC/DC. While citing Lynyrd Skynyrd, Led Zeppelin, and Thin Lizzy as musical influences, Michaels declared AC/DC the undisputed kings of “straight up, in-your-face rock ‘n’ roll.”
This isn’t the first time Michaels has publicly praised AC/DC. He previously referred to them as one of his favorite bands following the death of guitarist Malcolm Young.
When asked about his biggest hero, Michaels quickly named his father, a Navy veteran who instilled in him a strong work ethic and resilience in the face of adversity. Michaels’ father passed away in August 2019.
