**ANCHORAGE, AK** – A pedestrian was killed in a collision with a silver SUV on Brayton Dr. in Anchorage on Tuesday evening, November 8th, 2024.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:35 PM near the intersection of Brayton Dr and S Heather Meadows Lp. According to preliminary investigations, the SUV was traveling northbound when it struck the pedestrian in the roadway. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Anchorage Police Department’s Major Collision Investigation Unit (MCIU) is currently processing the scene, and Brayton Dr. is closed between Academy Dr. and S Heather Meadows Lp. Drivers are advised to use alternative routes.
The victim’s identity will be released once next-of-kin notification procedures are completed.
