Sat Nov 09 09:00:29 UTC 2024: ## Amit Shah Accuses Rahul Gandhi of Insulting Constitution, Slams Congress on Reservations

Ranchi, November 9, 2024: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday launched a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of mocking the Constitution by displaying a fake copy during recent rallies.

Addressing a BJP rally in Palamu, Shah claimed that a copy of the Constitution used by Gandhi was “void of any content” and merely had the cover page. He further accused Gandhi of insulting B.R. Ambedkar and the Constituent Assembly by waving a fake document. “Don’t make a mockery of the Constitution,” Shah urged.

Shah also alleged that Congress is plotting to grant reservations to minorities while taking them away from OBCs, tribals, and Dalits. “The Congress is against OBC quota, and they promised 10% reservation to minorities,” he claimed, referencing a meeting between Congress leaders and a delegation of Ulemas in Maharashtra.

He asserted that the BJP under Prime Minister Narendra Modi will never allow reservation based on religion.

Shah also condemned the Congress’s alleged attempts to restore Article 370 in Kashmir, calling it an integral part of India. “Even your fourth-generation can’t bring back Article 370,” he warned Rahul Gandhi.

Targeting the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) government in Jharkhand, Shah described it as the “most corrupt” in the country. He accused Chief Minister Hemant Soren of being involved in corrupt practices, stating, “Corrupt leaders will be hanged upside down.”

These accusations come ahead of the Jharkhand Assembly elections scheduled for November 13 and 20. Shah’s speech signifies the BJP’s aggressive campaign strategy, targeting Congress and the ruling JMM in the crucial state election.
