Sat Nov 09 09:43:39 UTC 2024: ## Brisbane Heat Recalls Rising Star for Crucial WBBL Clash

The WBBL Brisbane Heat have made a key change to their squad for tomorrow’s crucial match against the Adelaide Strikers at the Gabba. Rising left-arm pace bowler Lucy Hamilton, 18, has been recalled after completing her senior school exams.

Hamilton, who is the current Australian Under-19 captain, replaces fellow student Lily Bassingthwaighte and is yet to feature in this season’s WBBL. The Heat will be looking for her to make an immediate impact, having lost their last two games in Perth.

The match is a repeat of last year’s thrilling WBBL grand final, won by the Strikers in the final over at the Adelaide Oval. It is a key encounter for both teams as they battle for a spot in the finals.

The Gabba Smash, the first stand-alone WBBL fixture to be played at the venue in over five years, will also feature a special performance by Australian DJ duo Kinder. The game is set to be a spectacular occasion, with gates opening at 4.45pm and the match starting at 6.15pm.

Tickets are available through Ticketek, and the game will be broadcast live and exclusively on Foxtel and streamed through Kayo.
