Sat Nov 09 10:23:03 UTC 2024: ## Maruti Dzire 2024 Achieves 5-Star Safety Rating in Global NCAP Tests

**New Delhi, India** – The highly anticipated 2024 Maruti Dzire has made headlines even before its launch, becoming the first Maruti car to receive a 5-star safety rating from the Global New Car Assessment Programme (Global NCAP). The compact sedan scored 31.24 out of 34 points in Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and 39.20 out of 49 in Child Occupant Protection (COP), earning a 5-star rating for AOP and a 4-star rating for COP.

The Dzire’s safety credentials are backed by standard features like six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and ISOFIX child seat mounts across all variants. Even the base LXi model comes equipped with a rear defogger, seat-belt reminder, 3-point seatbelts for all seats, and hill-hold assist. Higher trims offer additional features like TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System) and a 360-degree camera.

“The 2024 Dzire has performed exceptionally well in the crash tests,” said [Global NCAP representative’s name]. “The car’s strong structure and standard safety features contributed significantly to its impressive scores.”

The Dzire’s success in the crash tests is expected to further enhance its appeal in the competitive subcompact sedan segment. The car will be launched on November 11, with prices expected to start from Rs 6.70 lakh (ex-showroom). It will directly compete with rivals like the 2025 Honda Amaze, Tata Tigor, and Hyundai Aura.

While the 5-star safety rating is a significant achievement, it is important to remember that real-world accidents involve complex variables like speed, impact angle, and road conditions. The safety of a vehicle ultimately depends on responsible driving practices and adherence to traffic rules.
