Fri Nov 08 07:19:12 UTC 2024: ## West Indies Clinch Series with Dominant Win Over England

**Bridgetown, Barbados:** The West Indies secured a resounding eight-wicket victory over England in the third and final One-Day International at Kensington Oval on Wednesday, claiming the series 2-1.

The win was fueled by brilliant centuries from Brandon King (102) and Keacy Carty (128*), who put on a record-breaking 209-run partnership for the second wicket. Carty, in particular, impressed with his maiden ODI century, smashing 15 fours and two sixes in his 114-ball knock.

England, despite a fighting effort from Phil Salt (74), were never truly in the game after being reduced to 24/4 early on. Jofra Archer’s late blitz (38 off 17 balls) helped them reach a respectable 263/8, but it was not enough to challenge the West Indies’ dominance.

Earlier, the West Indies bowlers, led by Matthew Forde (3/35) and Alzarri Joseph (2/34), kept England under pressure throughout their innings.

This victory marks a repeat of the West Indies’ success in their last series against England, back in November 2023, where they also triumphed 2-1.

Both teams will now switch their focus to the upcoming five-match T20 International series, which will also be played in Barbados.
