**Hyderabad, October 26, 2024:** The Telangana School Education Department has announced the opening of online registrations for the Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test (TS TET or TG TET 2024). The exam, scheduled to be held between January 1 and 20, 2025, aims to assess the eligibility of aspiring teachers for Class 1-8 posts in Telangana.

**Registration Period:** Candidates can apply for the TS TET 2024 until **November 20, 2024**.

**Application Fee:** The application fee is ₹750 for one paper and ₹1,000 for both papers. However, candidates who appeared for the TG TET May/June 2024 examination and either did not qualify or wish to improve their scores are exempt from the fee.

**Eligibility Criteria:** Applicants must hold a DElEd/DEd/BEd/Language Pandit or equivalent qualification. Candidates currently in the final year of these courses are also eligible, provided they meet the required percentage of marks.

**Exam Pattern:** The TS TET will consist of two papers: Paper 1 for classes 1-5 and Paper 2 for classes 6-8. The passing marks vary based on category: 60% for General category, 50% for BC category, and 40% for SC, ST, and differently-abled candidates.

**Certificate Validity:** The TS TET pass certificate holds lifetime validity and is crucial for applying to teacher positions in state government, mandal parishad, zila parishad, private aided, and private unaided schools in Telangana.

**Recruitment Process:** The TET score will carry a 20% weightage in the recruitment process.
