**Anthiyur, Tamil Nadu – November 7, 2024:** A police constable stationed at the Bhavanisagar police station, A. Karthi (38), was arrested on Thursday for allegedly sexually harassing a 27-year-old woman constable.

According to police reports, Karthi had a past relationship with the victim which ended six months ago. On Thursday, Karthi went to her house in Anthiyur taluk and committed the offense. When confronted by fellow police officers, including constable Ramachandran and other women constables, Karthi allegedly tore Ramachandran’s shirt and verbally abused the women.

A case has been registered against Karthi under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Women Harassment Act, 1998. Following his arrest, he was produced in court and remanded to prison.
