Thu Nov 07 08:03:25 UTC 2024: ## Israel Signs $5.2 Billion Deal for 25 Next-Generation F-15 Fighter Jets

**JERUSALEM, November 7, 2024** – The Israeli Ministry of Defence has announced the signing of an agreement to acquire 25 advanced F-15 fighter jets from Boeing Co. The deal, worth $5.2 billion, is part of a larger package of US aid approved earlier this year and includes an option for an additional 25 aircraft.

The new F-15s will be equipped with integrated weapons systems, boosting the aircraft’s range and payload capacity. This will allow the Israeli Air Force to maintain its strategic advantage in the Middle East, according to the Ministry. Deliveries are expected to commence in 2031, with 4-6 aircraft delivered annually.

“This F-15 squadron, alongside the third F-35 squadron acquired earlier this year, represents a historic enhancement of our air power and strategic reach,” stated Eyal Zamir, Director General of the Ministry of Defence. “These capabilities proved crucial during the current war.”

The acquisition is a significant investment in Israel’s defense capabilities, strengthening its air force and its position in the region.
