Fri Nov 08 01:16:29 UTC 2024: ## Indian Developer Honors Matthew Perry’s Legacy with Purchase of His LA Home

**Los Angeles, CA** – Real estate developer and film producer Anita Lallian, with Indian roots, has purchased the stunning Los Angeles home of late “Friends” star Matthew Perry for a hefty $8.55 million. Lalliam, who purchased the Pacific Palisades property off-market, shared her excitement over the home’s luxurious features and breathtaking ocean views. However, she also emphasized her commitment to honoring the legacy of the home’s former owner.

“As a real estate developer myself, I believe every property has a history,” Lallian shared on Instagram. “Every home carries the energy that the current owner brings to it. I am Hindu, and it’s customary to do a blessing and prayer anytime you buy a new home. We were so lucky to have our Panditji from Arizona come to the house to do the blessing.”

The family also performed a traditional ‘puja’ ceremony to honor Perry’s spirit and legacy, reflecting their respect for the actor. Lallian clarified that her purchase was solely based on her love for the home, not its tragic past. She revealed her plan to keep some of the design elements Perry had incorporated, including the iconic Batman logo in the pool.

“We chose to honor the positive aspects of the previous owner’s life, his immense talent, and all the joy he brought to so many people,” she wrote.

Built in 1965, the 3,500-square-foot midcentury modern home boasts four bedrooms, ocean views, wine storage, and walls of glass. Perry bought the property in 2020 for $6 million.

Matthew Perry, best known for his role as Chandler Bing in the hit sitcom “Friends,” passed away in October of last year at the age of 54. He was found unresponsive in his hot tub, and the official autopsy report determined his cause of death to be accidental drowning in the hot tub due to the acute effects of ketamine.
