Fri Nov 08 04:24:41 UTC 2024: ## India A Trails Australia A in Second Unofficial Test

**Melbourne, Australia:** The second and final unofficial Test match between India A and Australia A at the Melbourne Cricket Ground has been disrupted by rain on the second day. India A, who lost the toss and batted first, managed to score 161 runs thanks to a solid 80-run knock by Dhruv Jurel.

Australia A, in response, has lost five wickets and is currently trailing India by a significant margin. Marcus Harris, who has already reached his half-century, and Jimmy Peirson are currently at the crease.

India A, led by Ruturaj Gaikwad, is looking to level the series after losing the first match.

The Indian innings started poorly with the loss of four early wickets. Abhinav Eshwaran, Sai Kishore, KL Rahul, and Ruturaj Gaikwad all fell cheaply. The partnership of Devadatt Padikkal (26) and Dhruv Jurel steadied the ship for a while, but they couldn’t build a significant stand.

Jurel, however, carried the batting effort, scoring 80 runs off 186 balls with six fours and two sixes. He was the only Indian batter to cross the 30-run mark.

Khalil Ahmed and Mukesh Kumar took two wickets each for India A, while Prasidh Krishna picked up one.
